HYBE Confirms BIGHIT MUSIC's Five-Member Boy Group Debut This Summer

HYBE officially announced plans for BIGHIT MUSIC to debut a new five-member boy group during the third quarter of 2025, according to the company's first-quarter earnings report released April 29.
The announcement came as HYBE reported record Q1 revenue of 500.6 billion won ($350 million), up 38.7% year-over-year. HYBE described the upcoming group as "a next-generation creator crew that will express themselves in an entirely new way," emphasizing their direct involvement in producing music, choreography, and videos.
The company noted that "starting last year, the members proved their creative abilities by contributing to the production of music and performances by senior HYBE artists." Two rumored members have already gained attention for their behind-the-scenes work:
James, a former Trainee A member, has production credits on multiple HYBE releases including ILLIT's "Magnetic" and TXT's "Deja Vu." He also served as a backup dancer for BTS Jungkook's "Seven" performances.
Martin, reportedly Canadian-Korean, contributed to producing ILLIT's "Magnetic," TXT's "Deja Vu" and "Miracle," and LE SSERAFIM's "Pierrot."
This marks BIGHIT MUSIC's first boy group debut since TXT launched in 2019. The timing places them in a competitive landscape, with major agencies having already debuted new groups in early 2025, including JYP's Kickflip and SM's Hearts To Hearts.
The group's emphasis on creative self-sufficiency aligns with current industry trends toward artist-producers, potentially setting them apart in the saturated K-pop market.
No official group name, exact debut date, or complete member lineup has been announced.
