Charting on the "Billboard 200" is a milestone any K-pop group and soloist should be honored to reach. Internationally acclaimed Billboard made the "Billboard 200" chart to rank the most popular albums in the United States every week.

Thus, being able to chart on the "Billboard 200" signifies the international fame of a K-pop group or soloist. As of writing this article, only 8 elite K-pop boy groups have gone on to make it in the Billboard's "Billboard 200."

Additionally, only 6 K-pop girl groups have gone on to chart on the Billboard's "Billboard 200."

At present, in terms of K-pop soloists, only 6 soloists were able to make it in the Billboard's "Billboard 200" chart. Here are the K-pop soloists who were able to do this feat:

#6 BIGBANG's Taeyang

BIGBANG's Taeyang was the first K-pop soloist to enter the "Billboard 200" chart in 2014. Taeyang was able to peak at the #112 spot with "Rise" and MVPs are extremely proud of the BIGBANG member.

#5 BoA

If Taeyang was the first ever male K-pop soloist to enter "Billboard 200," the first-ever K-Pop soloist ever (and the only female K-pop soloist as of writing this article) was BoA. WIth her album, "BoA," BoA was able to peak at #127.

#4 SHINee's Jonghyun

SHINee's very own Jonghyun peaked at the #177 spot on the "Billboard 200" with his album "Poet | Artist."

#3 BTS' Suga

The most recent and third member of BTS to enter "Billboard 200", BTS's Suga entered the chart just last year in June with "D-2." Suga's album was able to peak at #11. Notably, this is the highest-charting spot for a K-Pop soloist on "Billboard 200" as of writing this article.

#2 BTS' RM

BTS' RM is the 2nd member of BTS to enter "Billboard 200" in November of 2018. RM's mixtape, "mono," peaked at #26 on the chart.

#1 BTS' J-Hope

The first member of BTS to ever chart on "Billboard 200" is J-Hope. His album, "Hope World" and, peaked at #38 on the chart. BTS's J-Hope is also the longest-charting soloist on "Billboard 200" as of writing this article.
