Return Of The Queens: Red Velvet To Make A Complete Comeback In 2021
December 25 of 2019, was a very sad day for the world of K-pop. Wendy, Red Velvet's main vocalist, had an accident, falling from a stage while practicing for the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejeon.
As Wendy recovered and had a one-year hiatus, other members of Red Velvet had solo and sub-group releases. Red Velvet has not had a complete comeback since. But recent reports may be pointing to a comeback soon.
Lee Sung Soo assured in a conference that Red Velvet would completely return in 2021. The SM Entertainment girl group is preparing an unnamed album and will be back with a renewed vigor, being more mature after the scandals that plagued the group. Red Velvet's fanbase, the Reveluvs, is confident that the girl group will return after some photos surfaced.
Recently, Wendy has been seen with the other members of Red Velvet, and Reveluvs are happy and welcome her return with open arms. This, along with social media rumors, fans of Red Velvet are even more hopeful with their comeback.
Beyond that, SeulRene, Red Velvet's sub-unit, successfully debuted with their single "Monster." Additionally, Irene, Red Velvet's leader, debuted with a lead actress role in "Double Patty," which is releasing this February.
This is also Red Velvet's contract year, and some fans are worried that they might not resign and might fall to the seven-year curse, but SM Entertainment is known to never disband their groups.
Plus, Red velvet photos were leaked, which showed the members wearing a mask but with make-up underneath, so speculations of an MV shoot are rampant.
Lastly, Seulgi and Joy were both seen with Wendy, which solidifies her claim that she is back and ready to work.
It is assumed either an album or at least a single will go out this year, and Reveluvs are also hoping for at least an online concert or a year-end performance.
