Jo Yoon Hee Describes Lee Dong Gun As Her ‘Special Love’
Actress Jo Yoon Hee talked about boyfriend and actor Lee Dong Gun for the first time since they confirmed their relationship to the public. The 34-year-old actress described her boyfriend and former drama co-star as her "special love." They starred as an onscreen couple in the recently concluded KBS2 weekend drama "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop" also known as "Laurel Tree Tailors."
The actress first broached the romantic topic Tuesday when she opened her radio show KBS CoolFM's "Jo Yoon Hee's Raise the Volume." She began with how everyone dreams of a "special love" which she described as "not when you meet a special person, but when you meet an ordinary person and share a special love with them." She proudly considered herself as among the lucky few who has found this precious thing. "I'm sure that there are shining beacons of special love out there right now. Though it's a little embarrassing to say this, I've become one of those shining beacons out there," said Jo Yoon Hee, according to Soompi.
Her management label King Kong by Starship and Lee Dong Gun's agency FNC Entertainment confirmed the couple's dating relationship that same day. The companies shared that the celebrity couple "developed romantic feelings" and then dated as "The Gentlemen of Wolgyesu Tailor Shop" drew to a close. The drama aired its finale only a couple of days earlier the announcement.
The 36-year-old "Lovers In Paris" star has a history of falling for his leading ladies. He dated his "My Boyfriend Is Type B" and "Sweet 18" co-star Han Ji Hye for three years. His most recent relationship was with T-ara's Jiyeon, his co-star in the 2015 movie "Encounter." They announced their break up February 1 after dating for two years. The former couple blamed their busy schedules that they "neglected to meet often, and so they broke up just like any other couple would." Lee Dong Gun was then busy filming the drama with Jo Yoon Hee while Jiyeon promoted T-ara in South Korea and China.
