Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's Diet Secrets Revealed! Chef Shows What The Couple Doesn't Eat
Health buffs are raving about a recent interview that revealed Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's diet secrets.
In an article for Boston.com, the celebrity couple's personal chef Allen Campbell dished out on what ingredients are allowed in the home of the professional athlete and the runway model, and what food items they prefer to do without.
With their bodies being part of their investment for their respective careers, it may not be surprising that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen could be picky about what they put in their diet.
It's not a secret that some athletes and models resort to artificial and unhealthy measures to keep their bodies lean, however, this is not the case with the power couple.
"Eighty percent of what they eat is vegetables," Campbell revealed. "[I buy] the freshest vegetables. If it's not organic, I don't use it. And whole grains: brown rice, quinoa, millet, beans."
Though most of their diet consists of vegetables and healthy grains, meals in the Bundchen-Brady household are kept balanced with lean meats rich in protein.
"The other 20 percent is lean meats: grass-fed organic steak, duck every now and then, and chicken. As for fish, I mostly cook wild salmon," the chef added.
However, the real secret lies in what the celebrity couple doesn't eat.
"No white sugar. No white flour," Campbell added. "No MSG. I'll use raw olive oil, but I never cook with olive oil. I only cook with coconut oil. Fats like canola oil turn into trans fats. ... I use Himalayan pink salt as the sodium. I never use iodized salt."
It may be surprising to know that some vegetables are also banned from the Bundchen-Brady kitchen.
"[Tom] doesn't eat nightshades, because they're not anti-inflammatory. So no tomatoes, peppers, mushrooms, or eggplants. Tomatoes trickle in every now and then, but just maybe once a month. I'm very cautious about tomatoes. They cause inflammation."
Now that Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen's diet secrets are out in the open, many health-conscious fans may be reconsidering their food choices - probably making a mental note to skip ratatouille when they're trying to lose weight.
It has earlier been rumored that the celebrity couple's relationship is in trouble because of the model's purportedly controlling behavior when it comes to their family's food.
"Tom thinks Gisele is controlling and she's forcing everyone in the family onto her crazy diet - she enforces a strict organic diet with no GMOs," Celeb Dirty Laundry earlier reported.
"Giselle doesn't let their extensive staff cook for the kids because she's paranoid about what they eat and when she's traveling - which she often is - she insists that Tom do all the cooking and cleaning."
Meanwhile, Tom Brady denied rumors that his and Gisele Bundchen's marriage is going down the drain.
