SAN DIEGO, CA - JULY 11: (L-R) Actresses Jennifer Lawrence, Sophie Turner, Alexandra Shipp, Lana Condor, and Olivia Munn of 'X-Men: Apocalypse' attend the 20th Century FOX panel during Comic-Con International 2015 at the San Diego Convention Center on Jul

Fans of the widely acclaimed comic book and movie franchise, "X-Men", will be delighted to preview the recently released the first "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie trailer, showing its official cast lineup, according to sources.

Marvel and Fox Studios finally released the first official movie trailer for the third installment of director and producer Bryan Singer's young-mutant trilogy, "X-Men: Apocalypse", which also gave fans a peek at the movie's cast members, as stated by Yahoo.

In the "X-Men: Apocalypse" trailer, the mutants are confronted with their biggest and most powerful adversary yet: the so-called original and godlike mutant Apocalypse, portrayed by Oscar Isaac ("Inside Llewyn Davis", "Ex Machina" and "A Most Violent Year"), as mentioned by the source.

The "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie trailer started off with some new faces that compromised some of its cast, such as Jean Grey (portrayed by Sophie Turner of "Game of Thrones"), Cyclops (played by Tye Sheridan of "Scouts Guide To The Zombie Apocalypse"), and Nightcrawler (portrayed by Kodi Smit-McPhee of "Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes) among many others, as reported by Slash Film.

Additional cast members were also unveiled in the trailer, such as Psylocke (characterized by Olivia Munn of the tv series "The Newsroom"), Storm (played by Alexandra Shipp of "Straight Outta Compton"), and Jubilee (portrayed by Lana Conor in her film debut), as listed by Empire Online.

However, the "X-Men: Apocalypse" movie trailer confirmed that two of the franchise's major actors won't return along with its cast, according to Cinema Blend.

Unlike in the previous films of the franchise, "X-Men: Apocalypse" will not include the original characters of Professor X (played by Sir Patrick Stewart of the "Star Trek" movie series) and Magneto (portrayed originally by Sir Ian McKellen of "The Lord Of The Rings" franchise), as stated by the source.

"The problem with 'Days of Future Past' is it's hard to sequalize," writer and producer Simon Kinberg said, courtesy of ComicBook.

"Whenever we talked about the sequel, the challenge was that it needed to feel not necessarily bigger visually, but that the stakes needed to feel bigger," he added.

As for the other previous cast member of the movie franchise, it would seem that Hugh Jackman would be focusing more onto 2017's "The Wolverine 3", as reported by Den of Geek
