‘Vampyr’ Game Release Date Confirmed; Director Tease Gameplay!
"Vampyr" game release date has been announced by Dontnod Entertainment which is on 2017, according to Gamespot.
Dontnod Entertainment is a game developer that has created "Remember Me" and the popular episodic game series, "Life Is Strange." Both games were successful in bringing in a lot of fans but "Life Is Strange" had more praise. Now, the game developer is developing a new project and talked about it in an interview.
Dontnod has announced "Vampyr" earlier this year with details of its launch date which is at 2017. It will also be playable on the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and the PC, according to sources.
Game Director Philippe Moreau for Dontnod Entertainment's new game, Vampyr, talked about the elements of the game like the gameplay, the protagonist, the setting of the game and the "Vampyr" game release date, according to HardCore Gamer. The setting of the game is a war-torn London and the protagonist is a vampire struggling to live in it.
"Vampyr is an action RPG with tight, visceral combat mechanics, exploration, and investigation," explained Moreau when he was asked of the gameplay elements of the game.
In addition, the player's weapons will be makeshift weapons like saws and other tools used by doctors since the protagonist is a doctor. Players will also need to feed which means they need to kill innocent civilians for blood. The killing element will also factor in in the story in different degrees since he is dealing with the guilt.
Moreau also wanted to tell a true gothic story about vampires, according to PlayStationLifeStyle.net. The studio wanted the game to be different than those what the general audiences see on TV and movies today. He wanted the mood to be just right.
In addition, it was also revealed that the name of the vampire protagonist is Jonathan Reid, who is a doctor and specializes in blood transfusion techniques.
The "Vampyr" game has still no specific release date.
