aespa Shatters BLACKPINK’s Girl Group Pre-Orders Record With Their Upcoming ‘Girls’ Comeback
SM Entertainment proves once again that their girl groups are elite. aespa goes beyond 1.6 million pre-orders for "Girls," their upcoming comeback album. Due to this, the quartet has now set a new record for K-Pop girl group pre-orders.

As per a press release posted by SM Entertainment, aespa is now the top girl group in terms of album pre-orders with 1,610,517 copies on pre-order as of the 7th of July. The previous record was held by YG Entertainment BLACKPINK with their "THE ALBUM" album which had 1,028,888 copies on pre-order sales
aespa's album will have six new songs: "Girls", the English and Korean versions of "Life's Too Short", "Illusion", "Lingo", and "ICU (쉬어가도 돼)". To add the cherry on top, aespa's previous hits "Black Mamba", "Forever", and "Dreams Come True" will be added as bonus tracks so there will be a total of nine songs on their new album.
Karina, Giselle, Winter, and NingNing shared their surprise and gratitude for the record-breaking pre-order amount of their "Girls" album.

"We were surprised and excited to hear that pre-orders for our second mini-album 'Girls' exceeded 1.61 million copies. We worked hard to prepare for this album as much as you waited a long time for it, and we feel overwhelmed to set a new record right from the start. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts and we will be a group that shows better performances and brings better music," the members of aespa revealed.

The members of aespa will be dropping "Girls" on the 8th of July at 1pm KST and they will have a Comeback Live show at 8pm KST on the 11th of July via YouTube and TikTok.
