BLACKPINK’s Jisoo Reveals Her Honest Thoughts About Debuting As A Soloist To BLINKs
Now that Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa have made their solo debuts, BLINKs are now waiting for Jisoo. But it seems like the "Snowdrop" star is still unsure regarding her future as a soloist.
BLACKPINK's Jennie was the first member to make her solo debut with "SOLO" in 2018. The second was Rosé as she dropped both "On The Ground" and "Gone" in March 2021.
The most recent BLACKPINK member to make a solo debut was Lisa. The Thai idol dropped both "LALISA" and "MONEY" in September of last year. Naturally, BLINKs are excited about Jisoo's solo debut.
Recently, the BLACKPINK member addressed her future as a soloist with Rolling Stone. "I'm not sure how much I want to go solo yet," BLACKPINK's Jisoo revealed.
Though the members of BLACKPINK have a defining sound as per Rolling Stone, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa were given the freedom to choose what type of songs they wanted for their debut.
On that, Jisoo has been struggling to decide what style of songs she wants to use for her solo debut. This is mainly because the BLACKPINK member wants to meet the expectations and hopes of BLINKs.
Furthermore, BLACKPINK's Jisoo is also not too keen on the idea of being the sole focus of attention. The idol compares herself to her fellow BLACKPINK members, sharing that her members enjoy performing and "feel energized by the people who come to see them."
For BLACKPINK's Jisoo, though the idol enjoys performing, she's more focused on not making mistakes rather than actually performing.
But what the K-Pop idol is feeling is valid. Thus, although Jisoo may be having a hard time choosing the song she wants to use for her solo debut, BLINKs will surely support her. As long as Jisoo releases a song that she is happy with, her fans will also enjoy it.
