AleXa Advances To The Semi-Finals Of NBC's 'American Song Contest', Beats Michael Bolton To Win First Place

K-pop has captured the hearts of global viewers.

AleXa succeeded in advancing to the semi-finals by winning first place with the song 'Wonderland' in NBC's American Song Contest, which aired on the 28th at 8 pm EST/PT. . 

In particular, AleXa was moved to tears when her own name was called.

AleXa's achievement this time was the result of a voting conducted for viewers and fans of the American Song Contest with US IP addresses. With this, Alexa not only took first place, beating famous singers such as world-famous pop artists Michael Bolton and Yum House, but also left a strong presence as a K-pop artist recognized by global viewers.

AleXa appeared as the only K-pop artist out of 56 contestants in the American Song Contest, which aired for the first time on the 21st. She performed the song "Wonderland" on behalf of her hometown of Oklahoma. AleXa captivated viewers around the world with her stage production and solid live skills.

Since the broadcast, "Wonderland" took the 2nd place on the Finnish iTunes overall chart, 1st on the Swedish iTunes K-pop chart as well as on the US iTunes K-pop chart.

Attention is focused on what kind of performance AleXa, who has captured the eyes and ears of global listeners, will perform in the semifinals of the American Song Contest.

The American Song Contest is the largest all-live music contest in which 56 artists representing 50 US states, Washington DC, and 5 overseas territories compete for the top hits in the United States.

Meanwhile, AleXarecently joined KBS WORLD's Virtual Song Top Ten as a new MC.
