Lee Soo Man & SM Entertainment Make A Sizeable Donation To Wildfire Victims In Uljin!
Over the weekend, a tragedy befell the seaside town of Uljin in North Gyeongsang Province as a large wildfire struck nearby. Unfortunately, the wildfire spread to the nearby city of Samcheok in Gangwon Province and destroyed over a hundred homes.
Not long after the tragedy, a myriad of K-pop and K-drama stars and netizens immediately began giving donations to help those in need. It was evident that a plethora of people wanted to help against the wildfire and just recently, one of the top labels in South Korea gave their help.
Notably, Lee Soo Man and SM Entertainment, home to K-pop artists such as Super Junior, BoA, SNSD, Red Velvet, EXO, aespa, NCT, and more, have donated ₩500 million KRW, which is approximately $406,000 USD, to help support the victims of the recent forest wildfires.

As per a press release shared by SM Entertainment, the agency has donated ₩500 million KRW (approximately $406,000 USD) to Hope Bridge Disaster Relief which will be used to assist the victims who have lost their homes due to the recent wildfires alongside restoration projects.
SM Entertainment shared, "We hope that the forest fires will be extinguished as soon as possible and that the affected area will be restored. We hope our donation will help a little to those who are affected."

Furthermore, a plethora of celebrities and labels have gone on to donate to help battle the forest fires, including Shin Min Ah, Kim Woo Bin, IU, Girl's Day Hyeri, Lee Byung Hun, and many more.
