NMIXX’s Debut Is Not A Flop? Newest JYP GG Makes History 1-Week After Dropping ‘O.O,’ Surpassing Kep1er
NMIXX welcomes March with a record-breaking feat.
JYP Entertainment's newest girl group NMIXX has received mixed reactions with its debut track "O.O." Most netizens slam the group, especially the company, for its "over the top" and messy debut track but it doesn't stop NMIXX from getting its name out there for its "Mixx" sound.

One week after NMIXX dropped "O.O," the general perception of the song remains on the skeptical side but the group's physical sales, aside from the record-breaking YouTube views of the music video, show otherwise.
NMIXX's 1st album "AD MARE" has thrust itself to the pedestal as the best-selling debut album for a K-Pop girl group after it wrapped up its first-week sales count with a total of 227,399 copies.
The JYP Entertainment girl group surpassed Kep1er's record first-week sales of 206,569. Not only that but NMIXX's "AD MARE" took the 11th spot in the overall list of K-Pop girl group albums with the highest first-week sales.
It is worth noting that JYP Entertainment's NMIXX achieved such feat without any music show promotions and even a debut showcase. This is due to members Bae and Kyujin testing positive for COVID-19. Both were required to undergo quarantine, thus postponing the debut activities of NMIXX.
Meanwhile, NMIXX is holding their debut showcase "New Frontier: AD MARE" on March 1st.
With such a controversial yet successful debut, will NMIXX be able to hold the prestige of being under JYP Entertainment which is regarded as the home of legendary girl groups like Wonder Girls, Miss A, and TWICE?
Fans and netizens alike are looking forward to NMIXX's future releases.
