MAMAMOO’s Solar Tests Positive For COVID-19 Amidst March Solo Comeback Announcement!
To the sadness of netizens and MooMoos, the fandom name of MAMAMOO, MAMAMOO's very own Solar has tested positive for the COVID-19 virus.

Just recently on the 22nd of February, MAMAMOO's Solar announced that she was going to make her first solo mini album entitled "容 : FACE" in an unspecified date in March. Initially, excited, her fans were swiftly upset after finding out Solar's health status.
On the 24th of February, MAMAMOO and Solar's agency, RBW, made the following announcement:
"Hello, this is RBW.
We are informing you that our agency artist MAMAMOO's Solar has tested positive for COVID-19.
After hearing that she was in close contact with a COVID-19 patient on February 23, she used a self-testing kit and tested positive. She immediately underwent PCR testing, and she was ultimately diagnosed [with COVID-19] today (February 24).
Solar completed the third dose of his COVID-19 vaccine, and she has currently halted all activities and is taking the necessary measures as well as getting rest in keeping with guidelines set by government health authorities.
We apologize for causing concern to the fans. We will do our best for Solar's quick recovery and consider the health and safety of the artist as a top priority.

Not long after the announcement, MAMAMOO's Solar went on her personal Instagram to post a story to reassure K-pop fans on her status.
On the K-pop idol's Instagram story, she wrote: "Thank you for worrying about me. I'll take this [as a sign] to promote in a healthier way before my solo album comes out. I'll take good care of myself and come back."
