BTOB’s Eunkwang Is Diagnosed With COVID-19
As the daily number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 spiked in South Korea, the number of confirmed cases in the music industry is also increasing day by day.
On the 15th, Seo Eunkwang, the leader of the CUBE Entertainment boy group BTOB, was diagnosed with COVID-19.
Cube Entertainment, the agency of Seo Eunkwang, said on the same day, "Seo Eunkwang experienced a sore throat, so he administered a preliminary test using a self-test kit. The self-test result showed negative."
However, as a preemptive response, Seo Eunkwang decided to go to the hospital and conducted a PCR test. Seo Eunkang was notified on the 15th, that his result had returned positive.
"The test result showed negative, but Eunkwang still decided to undergo a PCR test as a precaution, and on February 15, he was notified that his PCR test result had returned positive," Cube Entertainment shared.
Additionally, CUBE Entertainment shared that Seo Eunkwang completed the second dose of his COVID-19 vaccine. Currently, all of Seo Eunkwang's schedules are suspended according to the agency and necessary measures are being taken according to the guidelines of the quarantine authorities.
The remaining BTOB members also preemptively underwent PCR testing.
"The remaining BTOB members will undergo PCR tests immediately and will quarantine themselves until their test results are out," CUBE Entertainment shared.
BTOB will release their third full-length album "Be Together" on the 21st. With Seo Eunkwang testing positive of COVID-19, it seems inevitable that the comeback schedule of the group will be adjusted.
