Som-taengs & Som-mungchis Praise Jeon Somi For Becoming Converse Korea’s New Ambassador!
To the delight of netizens and K-pop fans, soloist Jeon Somi is the most recent idol chosen as an ambassador for Converse Korea!
The Black Label K-pop artist is slated to make an appearance at Converse Korea's "Create Next? Do Not Fight" campaign which will be on the 7th of February. The campaign will also have other artists at the event where attaining happiness no matter the outcome was the theme.
Prior to Converse Korea's "Create Next? Do Not Fight," Jeon Somi already revealed to Som-taengs and Som-mungchis, the name of her fandom, what she looks like in her black Chuck Taylors. The K-pop idol also rocked a printed black crop top and tasteful khaki pants.
This is a huge honor as Jeon Somi is not the only K-pop artist who has collaborated with Converse Korea as previously In May of 2020, Red Velvet's Seulgi also worked closely with Converse Korea.
In an interview, it was revealed that the Red Velvet member was proposed to be an official ambassador for Converse Korea. The popular shoe brand has not partnered up with a female ambassador since 2018, thus making this a huge honor for the K-pop idol.
Notably, Red Velvet's Seulgi went on to agree to be the ambassador of Converse Korea as she had a huge chance to be able to design her own pair of shoes as a K-pop artist.
Furthermore, in May of 2020, Converse Korea posted photos of the shoes that Red Velvet Seulgi created for them and in partnership with DreamWorks. The shoe designs took inspiration from the characters from the film "Trolls."
Additionally in 2018, Converse Korea went on to also collaborate with K-pop superstar BTS and Line Friends. The BT21 x Converse collection went on to release on the 27th of July 27 in the same year and it sold out almost immediately.
This shows how important this is for Jeon Somi as she is now in the same conversation with other immensely popular K-pop artists in terms of a collaboration with Converse Korea!
