BTS, Stray Kids, TWICE, & More: Tumblr Reveals Their Top K-Pop Groups For This Year!

Only a few more days until 2021 ends, and following this, Tumblr, the popular US-based social networking website, gathered data to rank certain topics for their "Year in Review"!

Tumblr's year-end rankings are taken from data on their own "Fandometrics," and they rank the most popular stars, such as specific entertainment topics on the site. The website also follows changes in the conversation of users, and among the most popular topics were K-pop groups.

This ranking does not only show the popularity of K-pop but how far the genre has reached in the United States. K-pop is a slowly growing genre, but in recent times, K-pop has grown in popularity at an amazing rate in the West. Not only are K-pop artists reaching milestones in Western award shows, but they are also being included in lists among top Western artists!

2021 was an amazing year for K-pop in the global scene, and it seems like the genre will further expand in 2022!

Adding to that, this year's Tumblr K-pop group rankings were based on data that lasted from the 21st of October 2020 up until the 20th of October 2021.
