After Recent Controversy In A Recent Live Broadcast, NCT’s Mark, Doyoung, & Johnny Formally Apologize!

Mark, Doyoung, & Johnny of NCT has now apologized for a recent issue that happened during a live broadcast dedicated to "Universe," NCT's upcoming album.

On the 14th of December, the members of NCT had a live broadcast on YouTube entitled "NCT Universe Countdown Live." Notably, around 5:19 p.m. KST, an emergency alert appeared on a member's cell phone warning citizens of a magnitude 4.9 earthquake that happened off the coast of Jeju Island.

NCT's Mark, Doyoung, and Johnny, began singing and dancing to "Earthquake," a B-side track from NCT's "Universe," upon seeing the message. The other NCT members told them to stop and carried on with the live broadcast.

Soon after, NCT's Mark, Doyoung, and Johnny went on to release their apologies on their personal Instagram accounts via their stories.

"Hello, this is Doyoung. During today's comeback live broadcast, I made a rash mistake without properly recognizing the situation. I want to apologize for those who were hurt and felt uncomfortable because of my frivolous actions and words. This was entirely my mistake, so I apologize again without excuses. I will work hard in order to not make a mistake like this again. Once again, I want to say sorry to those who were hurt by my actions and words," NCT's Doyoung wrote in his apology.

NCT's Johnny shared his remorse by noting that he is very sorry for his rash actions during the comeback live broadcast. In the future, he stated that he would be more careful about his thoughts and actions.

In NCT Mark's apology, he expressed, "I want to say that I am deeply sorry for the image that I showed of myself during today's comeback live broadcast. I am really sorry for misjudging the situation and acting carelessly and rashly. I will reflect deeply on myself and work hard to never show behavior like this again."
