Song Hye Kyo and Lee Do Hyun’s Upcoming Revenge Drama Confirmed As A Netflix Original

Upcoming drama "The Glory" has been confirmed as a Netflix original.

According to the production company behind the drama "The Glory," it has been decided that it will be shown to viewers around the world through Netflix. 

"The Glory" is the latest work of famous K-drama writer Kim Eun Sook who penned the 2016 hit drama "Descendants of the Sun." The upcoming drama starring A-list actress Song Hye Kyo and rising actor Lee Do Hyun will be directed by director Ahn Gil Ho.

The drama "The Glory" is reported to be 100% pre-produced for the sake of completeness. Filming is scheduled to begin this January.

Song Hye Kyo will be taking a break before filming for "The Glory." Currently, the actress is starring in the drama "Now, We Are Breaking Up" alongside Jang Ki Yong. Meanwhile, Lee Do Hyun is scheduled to enter the filming of "The Glory" after his current drama "Melancholia" ends.

The upcoming Netflix original series will tell the sad revenge story of a high school student who had to drop out of school after experiencing brutal school violence. 

According to reports, actress Song Hye Kyo is confirmed to take on the role of Moon Dong Eun. During her high school years, she experienced school violence and had to drop out of school. She became a teacher and crossed path with her perpetrator years after as she is the homeroom teacher of the latter's child

On the other hand, Lee Do Hyun is still reviewing the offer to star in "The Glory" as Joo Yeo Jung. Should he accept the offer, Lee Do Hyun will give life to the character of Joo Yeo Jung, who will help Song Hye Kyo's character in her revenge.

Also, Im Ji Yeon is still in talks to join the "The Glory," Her character is yet to be revealed.

"The Glory" is set to air on Netflix sometime in 2022.
