As of writing this article, today on the 14th of December, Weeekly's entertainment label, IST Entertainment, went on to drop an official announcement to confirm that Weeekly's very own Jiyoon would be returning to activities after being on hiatus since August of this year.
Earlier this year in August, Weekly's Jiyoon was slated to have a brief hiatus from Weeekly promotions due to mental health issues that are related to anxiety. Since her hiatus, the K-pop idol has been focussing on her recovery for the previous few months.
But as per recent reports, it seems that Weeekly's Jiyoon is gearing up for a strong comeback as she has now fully recovered.

IST Entertainment's statement towards Jiyoon's return is as follows:
"We have carefully discussed Jiyoon's return to promotions with Jiyoon, her family, and medical experts, and have come to the conclusion that Jiyoon has recovered significantly to the point that she is ready to resume her activities.
As of the 15th of December, Weeekly will return to promotions as 7-members. We would like to thank you for all of the encouragements sent toward Jiyoon, and we ask for your continued interest in Weeekly."
It has now been a little over 4 months since fans have seen Weeekly complete as a 7-member K-pop girl group. Now that Jiyoon has returned, fans are now expecting the IST Entertainment K-pop girl group to be in full strength!
