In the second half of 2021, rumors on a possible BLACKPINK comeback rose as multiple reports revealed an alleged comeback in the fourth quarter of this year!

BLACKPINK's label, YG Entertainment, went on to confirm the rumors on an upcoming BLACKPINK comeback, but a specific date has not yet been released. Regardless, BLINKs (the fandom name of BLACKPINK) were extremely excited.

Not long after the reports surfaced, fans were getting impatient as no new updates regarding BLACKPINK's comeback were reported. Additionally, all the members of BLACKPINK were then seen focusing on individual activities instead.

Now that December has come and 2021 is almost over, fans were positive that this month would be the month that BLACKPINK would finally make a complete return. Sadly, as per their recently revealed schedule, fans might have to wait longer for their comeback.

On the 10th of December, YG Entertainment released BLACKPINK's schedule of activities for the month of December, and fans were upset at what they saw. As BLINKs opened the link containing BLACKPINK's schedule, they saw that the whole month was blank.

A plethora of BLINKs and netizens then shared their dismay as 2021 is almost over, and it seems as though BLACKPINK is not making a complete comeback at all. If this is the case, this will be the first year that BLACKPINK has not made a comeback since its debut.

BLACKPINK's last complete comeback as a group was with "Lovesick Girls," which dropped in October of 2020, which is the title track of their first-ever album, "THE ALBUM." This makes BLACKPINK's last comeback one year and two months ago.

As of writing this article, YG Entertainment has not yet released any statement regarding the matter.
