ASTRO’s Rocky Confirmed To Lead Upcoming Drama ‘Salty Idol’
Astro's Rocky continues his journey as an idol actor.
Astro's Rocky's agency Fantagio said on the 10th, "Astro member Rocky has been cast in the web drama 'Salty Idol'."
The web drama "Salty Idol" is directed by Kim Hyeon Soo while Kim Seong Jin is in-charge of the screenplay. "Salty Idol" is a growing comedy-drama depicting the salty daily life of an idol who suffers from hardships despite the sudden rise to stardom.

In the K-drama, Rocky is taking the role of Hwiyeon, a solo singer who joined the idol group "XPierce." After the group's sudden rise to stardom, Hwiyeon was alienated by "XPierce" fans for not being a part of the original lineup.
After debuting as an ASTRO member, Rocky drew attention with his versatile rapping, dancing, and vocal skills.

Rocky made his first guest appearance in the drama "Forever Young" while he was still a trainee. However, his first main role was with the 2021 thriller web drama "Find Me If You Can," where he took the role of Choi Jeong Sang.
The ASTRO member is also set to star in the web drama "Chung Chun Hyang Jeon." Rocky will be playing the role of Lee Mong Ryong and will act alongside Weki Meki members Sei and Kim Do Kyung.

Expectations are high as to how ASTRO's Rocky will show his true worth in the future as he spurs his acting career in the second half of this year and starts acting in earnest.
Meanwhile, the web drama "Salty Idol" starring ASTRO's Rocky is scheduled to air this winter.
