Is Girls’ Generation Preparing For A Comeback? Fans Collect ‘Proof’ Of SNSD’s Return!
The last time Girls' Generation (aka SNSD) made a complete comeback was in 2017 when they released their sixth Korean studio album entitled "Holiday Night," to commemorate their tenth anniversary.
SONEs (the fandom name of Girls' Generation) loved "Holiday Night" so much it became the fastest-selling Korean-language album in the first week, which overtook the record made with "The Boys."
Thus, an SNSD comeback will surely be an instant hit, and it seems as though a comeback might be approaching.
As of writing this article, yesterday on the 8th of December, fans noticed that SNSD's label, SM Entertainment, updated the profile photo and header of Girls' Generations official Instagram page, and this is where the speculations of a comeback began with SONEs.
Following this, the Girls' Generation Instagram page then followed all eight members of SNSD. This made fans even more excited as the Instagram page only followed YoonA before.
Although this only seemed like a coincidence, SNSD's Taeyeon's recent Instagram post made fans even more excited. In her recent post, SONEs appreciated Taeyeon's fit figure, but some fans were able to notice that she dyed her hair black, although she wore a hat.
Taeyeon, the leader of Girls' Generation, previously rocked blonde hair, and the sudden change in color could be attributed to a coming musical release as K-pop idols usually hide their hair whenever a comeback is imminent.
Furthermore, both SNSD's Taeyeon and Yuri recently posted similar Instagram stories on their Instagrams of them being in the SMTOWN Store & Cafe. Perhaps the two were only catching up at the time; fans once again connected this to Girls' Generation's possible return.
As of writing this article, SM Entertainment has not released any updates regarding whether or not Girls' Generation will have a comeback.
