Advertisements For BLACKPINK Jisoo’s 'Snowdrop’ Taken Down Due To Complaints!

BLACKPINK's Jisoo and Jung Hae In's "Snowdrop" is slated to release in December, and although most fans are excited to support them, some Koreans might not be too thrilled.

A fan page for BLACKPINK's Jisoo went on to sponsor 30 screens for digital advertisements for "Snowdrop" at subway stations in Seoul. 

But it seems that the advertisements have made some Koreans. Notably, "Snowdrop" has been filled with controversies since its announcement, as some Koreans believe that the drama might change the portrayal of certain events in history.

Since the rise of the issues, JTBC has released a statement regarding their portrayal of some characters, but it seems that some Koreans might still not be in favor of the drama.

This was recently evident as a plethora of Koreans who have heard of the advertisements are thinking of filing a civil complaint to have the advertisements taken down, and some have already done so.

Notably, civil complaints might lead the government to further look into the matter to order the taking down of advertisements. Previously, fans have gotten events canceled or have advertisements taken down due to similar complaints.

The aforementioned fan page has since gone on to announce that their plans for the digital and public advertisements will no longer push through only a couple of days after it went live.

Some of the advertisements were able to go online for a couple of days between the 25th until the 29th of November before it was removed indefinitely.
