Is Tzuyu Comfortable With TWICE’s More Mature Concepts? TWICE’s Maknae Spills Tea With L’Officiel!
As of writing this article, today on the 1st of October, TWICE dropped their first full English track, "The Feels" and it is a huge step compared to their earlier tracks such as "Like OOH-AHH," "TT," "Likey," and many more.
Thus, TWICE's very own maknae Tzuyu talked about TWICE's growth in an interview and her first-ever solo cover shoot for L'Officiel Singapore!
When Tzuyu was asked 'how have your sound and image evolved' by L'Officiel Singapore, she confidently revealed how much TWICE has evolved since their first full-length album entitled "Twicetagram."
Notably, "Twicetagram" had "Likey" as its title track and the album was beloved due to its fun, bubble, and fresh concept. TWICE's album was then repackaged as "Merry & Happy" with the single "Heart Shaker." The track was upbeat, vibrant, and cute!
Compare the early albums of TWICE with their recent releases of "Alcohol-Free" and "Perfect World," ONCEs can really see how much TWICE has evolved.
Notably, both tracks that were released this year are comparable to Latin music. One track has a more 'Bossa Nova-inspired' party feel while the other takes its inspos from the highly mature Tango vibe.
Regarding TWICE's more mature eras, TWICE's Tzuyu revealed her personal growth due to TWICE's concepts.
TWICE's Tzuyu revealed, "I do feel that our sound and image have somewhat evolved since Twicetagram. I used to have a very bright and lovely image but now, I get to show a more mature and varied image."
Tzuyu added on what she meant by 'varied image' by explaining her opinion on the variance of "Taste Of Love" and "Perfect World."
"I'd say the main difference between the two versions is that we get to bring the fresh vibe of summer with Taste of Love whereas Perfect World is an expression of a more confident and cooler concept," TWICE's Tzuyu added.
Tzuyu then concluded that she feels very proud and happy as ONCEs truly love TWICE's recent releases!
