On September 27th, various South Korean news sites reported that the 2020 hit drama "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" is confirmed to be having its second and third season.
"Tale of the Nine-Tailed" is a fantasy-action romance drama between a nine-tailed fox who has settled in the city and a producer who pursues him due to his connection to a past incident. The first installment of the drama "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" aired in October 2020. Season one of the drama "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" was a success as it ended with the highest viewership rating of 5.8%.
The success of the first season of the "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" can be attributed not only to its plot but also to the star-studded cast ensemble.
Leading the cast of the drama "Tale of the Nine-Tailed" is actor Lee Dong Wook. The "Goblin" star took on the role of Lee Yeon, a mythical nine-tailed fox disguised as a human. Portraying the role of his half-brother Lee Yeon is "Law School" actor Kim Bum.
According to reports, Lee Dong Wook and Kim Bum are returning for the second and third installment of the drama.
Meanwhile, completing the main ensemble for the drama is actress Jo Bo Ah. She plays the role of Nam Ji Ah, a talented producer who is looking into the mysterious disappearance of her parents. Jo Bo Ah's on-screen chemistry with Lee Dong Wook was the highlight of the drama, however, fans might not be able to see them together for the upcoming two seasons of "Tale of the Nine-Tailed."
An exclusive report revealed that the 30-year-old actress decided not to join the follow-up seasons of the "Tale of the Nine-Tailed." Furthermore, some reports from South Korean media sites have claimed that the production team behind the drama has started to look for a new female lead.
