As of writing this article, On September 14, President Moon Jae-in and BTS' RM, Jin, J-HOPE, Suga, Jimin, V, and Jungkook met at the Blue House, which is the executive office and official residence of the South Korean president.
Previously on the 21st of July, President Moon Jae-in officially appointed the members of BTS as the 'special presidential envoy for future generations and culture'.
In the Blue House, the members of BTS were awarded the certificates of appointment as President Moon Jae-in's special envoy. They were also given diplomatic passports.
BTS' first event as the 'special presidential envoy for future generations and culture' will be attending the yearly United Nations General Assembly session, where President Moon Jae-in will also be present.

Aside from playing a video of a BTS' performance, BTS will also have a speech at the event.
The Blue House announced, "As BTS has delivered messages of comfort and hope to the world, the group's attendance at the UN General Assembly this time is expected to serve as a meaningful opportunity to expand communication with future generations around the world and draw their sympathy on major international issues."
This shows the impact BTS has, not just in the entertainment industry, but throughout the whole country of South Korea and the world.
