As every month passes, K-Pop girl groups raise the bar not just in terms of personality but also in terms of talent and grace. Evidently, we previously listed the most popular K-pop girl groups based on their Instagram follower growth for the month of August.

YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK lead the rankings as they garnened more than 962k new Instagram followers. This makes the members of BLACKPINK (Jennie, Lisa, Jisoo, and Rose) the most followed K-pop girl group on the social media platform.

Beyond this, BLACKPINK recently reached a milestone that is so great, they overcame all global musical artists.

As of writing this article, yesterday on the 10th of September at around 2 p.m. KST, BLACKPINK went beyond 65.2 million subscribers on YouTube. Due to this, YG Entertainment's BLACKPINK is now the number 1 most subscribed artist on YouTube.

BLACKPINK's YouTube channel became active on the 28th of June, 2016. This means that it took YG Entertainment's K-pop girl group five years and three months to reach this amazing milestone.

Previously, BLACKPINK's YouTube channel became the second most followed YouTube channel in terms of artists last year in September, and they have now surpassed Justin Bieber to become No. 1 on YouTube.

"We can't believe it. It's a miracle-like moment created by BLINK. We want to share this honor with our fans around the world who always love and support us," the members of BLACKPINK shared regarding their recent milestone.

BLACKPINK added that this was a result that they and their fans accomplished together. The BLACKPINK members hope that fans will also share their happiness with the recent good news.

"We will become artists who continue to give positive energy through good music and videos," BLACKPINK added.

Congratulations to BLACKPINK for becoming the most subscribed artist on YouTube!
