Many are aspiring to debut and become successful K-Pop idols. However, not all had the opportunity to be scouted by a credible entertainment agency, let alone one top name in the industry - JYP Entertainment.

Choosing what company to audition into most definitely is the biggest decision that an inspiring trainee will make. After all, this will greatly affect their training experience as well as their whole K-Pop journey. While most choose a company for their style, vibe, and name in the industry, there are stories of very successful idols who chose their company "just because."

So in this article, we have gathered some of the weirdest reasons that your favorite K-Pop idols had on why they chose to join JYP Entertainment.

BamBam of GOT7

Born in Thailand, GOT7 rapper BamBam chased his dreams of becoming a superstar in Korea. He flew to the country at a very young age and worked his way to the top. He joined JYP Entertainment because his mom loves Rain so much. His choice was fruitful though, as BamBam was able to debut with GOT7 and became an internationally-known K-Pop star.

Dahyun of TWICE

Dahyun was one of the lucky few who received an offer from the "Big Three" companies in K-Pop: SM, JYP, and YG. She ended up joining JYP and became one of the nine gorgeous members of TWICE. According to Dahyun she joined JYP Entertainment because it was the first company to call her back.

Ryujin of ITZY

ITZY's Ryujin was infamously scouted in one of GOT7's fan meetings as she was and still is an avid Ahgase. However, GOT7 was not the main reason she joined JYP Entertainment. The ITZY main rapper once shared that she joined JYP because she thought the girl who scouted her was hot. And did you know, Ryujin was also scouted by YG after her audition for Mixnine?
