MAMAMOO’s Wheein To Sign With THEL1VE Agency? Here’s What We Know So Far
Previous reports from news outlets hinted that MAMAMOO's Wheein was in the final stages of signing an exclusive contract with the agency H1GHR MUSIC. Wheein was reportedly in contact with H1GHR MUSIC for a while and is preparing to sign with the company.
To the knowledge of most netizens, H1GHR Music is a subsidiary of AOMG and is home to popular artists such as Groovyroom, Sik-K, pH-1, HAON, and GOT7's Jay B. The agency previously signed the GOT7 leader after he parted ways with JYP Entertainment.
However, at the time, H1GHR Music did not drop a statement, but it is no longer needed as the apparent reports were either misinterpreted or entirely false, as per a statement released by Wheein's representatives.
MAMAMOO's Wheein's representatives went on to release a statement to Sports Kyunghyang sharing that the reports of Wheein signing under H1GHR Music were completely false and not true.
Wheein's representatives announced:
"It is not true that Wheein is in the final stages of discussions regarding an exclusive contract with H1GHR MUSIC.
She has received enticing calls from various agencies in the industry but nothing has been decided yet."
Thus, the announcement from MAMAMOO Wheein's representatives has outright denied the claims that Wheein would be signing under H1GHR MUSIC.
But recently, it seems as though MAMAMOO's Wheein is in talks to join VIXX's Ravi's THEL1VE, his own entertainment agency.
As per exclusive reports from Dalian and Sports Kyunghyang, MAMAMOO's Wheein is gearing up to join Ravi's new agency, THEL1VE. An exclusive contract has apparently been negotiated back and forth and things have been looking positive.
But reports from THEL1VE agency itself have noted that although the agency has held positive talks with Wheein, nothing has been finalized as of writing this article.
