As of writing this article, yesterday, on the 13th of July, Lee Ki Hoon, a Korean analyst from Hana Financial Group, noted that he believes SM Entertainment and JYP Entertainment would be having a financial boom in the second half of 2021.

In the first half of 2021, SM Entertainment artists such as NCT (its subunits), aespa, and EXO released recent comebacks that were all successful. To further add to this, both NCT Dream and EXO were able to sell millions of copies of their latest released albums.

To add to an EXO release, EXO's D.O.'s is reportedly about to drop a solo musical release, further giving SM Entertainment more attention this year. Adding to that is a slated NCT 127 comeback which is supposedly releasing soon.

Due to this success and garnered attention, the sales of SM Entertainment alongside their operating profit in the second half of this year are assumed to increase.

From the success, Lee Ki Hoon shared his beliefs that SM Entertainment is on the rise to have sales of 178.4 billion won and an operating profit of 27.4 billion won in the second half of 2021, approximately 155 million dollars and 23 million dollars, respectively.

Furthermore, SM Entertainment's consolidated operating profit is presumed to go beyond 85 billion won, (approximately 74 million dollars). The analyst said that the significant factor for this is that NCT 127 is planning to release their third studio album and repackaged version between July and December.

In the case of JYP Entertainment, TWICE is slated to drop their first-ever English-only digital single. This is going to add more traction towards JYP Entertainment as an English-only single from their most popular K-pop group will surely blow up.

Following this, Stray Kids is also confirmed to make their comeback within the coming months! A complete Stray Kids comeback, including Hyunjin will surely further JYP Entertainment's profits.

As per Lee Ki Hoon, the sales and operating profits of JYP Entertainment for the second part of 2021 will be immensely affected by the Stray Kids' comeback.
