As of writing this article, yesterday on the 30th of June, a news media reported that a popular female K-pop group member was caught using an illegal drug, thus, being fined in the process.

Following the reports, it was confirmed to have been Gain of Brown Eyed Girls and the drug she used was propofol.

Not long after this, APOP, a subsidiary of Mystic Story and the agency of Brown Eyed Girls, went on to release a statement apologizing for the K-pop idol's actions and further details.

Mystic Story's statement is as follows:

"Hello, this is Mystic Story.

We would like to release a statement regarding the reports pertaining to Gain's use of propofol.

Gain was previously fined ₩1.00 million KRW, approximately $884, last year after being summarily indicted for the use of propofol.

Although both Gain and our agency realized this was a socially incorrect thing, we did not apologize for the mistake at first, and we bow our heads in apology for causing more concern with this sudden news.

Beyond this, it is painful and hurts our hearts to tell this to the fans who have been affectionately waiting for such a long time during Gain's period of self-reflection. We apologize that our news was unable to satisfy you.

During Gain's activities, she accumulated both small and large injuries. She has been suffering from severe pains, depression, and sleep disorders for a long time, and during that process, made a very reckless decision.

Despite the increased pain she was feeling due to personal circumstances that were not mentioned over the past years by neither the artist nor the agency, she was not able to find a good way out of her pain. As the agency, we feel deeply responsible for not being able to find a solution.

Starting now, Gain and our agency will do our best to stand in front of the fans and the public with a more mature image and have more careful and serious emotions.

Once again, we sincerely apologize for causing concern."

Hopefully, Brown Eyed Girls' Gain will be able to recover from the issues she is facing, mentally, physically, and emotionally.
