K-pop has been so massively popular throughout recent years that approximately 100 new K-pop groups debut each year. Some enter the mainstream and become popular while a lot slowly drift into obscurity.

It truly takes a lot of determination, talent, and perseverance for a group to last more than seven years in the industry. But there are groups who seem as though they will never disband.

With that being said, here are five of the longest active K-pop groups who are still active to this day:

#5 TVXQ, active for 10 years and 2 months

TVXQ debuted way back in December of 2003 with the members U-Know, Changmin, Jaejoong, Junsu, and Yoochun. Unfortunately, in January of 2011, the latter 3 members abandoned the group. But nevertheless, the first and second members of TVXQ, U-Know and Changmin, still continue to promote as a duo to this day.

#4 2PM, active for 11 years, five months

2PM debuted way back in September of 2008, with the members: Jun.K, Nichkhun, Taecyeon, Wooyoung, Junho, Chansung, and Jay Park. Sadly, the seventh member, Jay Park, left in September of 2009 but regardless, 2PM is still together and is rumored to make a comeback around this April of 2021.

#3 Davichi, active for 13 years, 1 month

Davichi debuted way back as a duo in February of 2008. The duo consists of Haeri and Minkyung. Amazingly, they are still together and actively promoting as a duo.

#2 Brown Eyed Girls, active for 15 years

Brown Eyed Girls debuted way back in Marcy of 2006, with the members: JeA, Gain, Narsha, and Miryo. Brown Eyed Girls also are still complete and are all still promoting, which makes them the longest female K-pop group to be together.

#1 Shinhwa, active 22 years, 9 months

Shinhwa debuted way back in May of 1998, with the members: Eric, Andy, Minwoo, Junjin, Dongwan, and Hyesung. Unfortunately, they have not released anything new lately. The group has still not disbanded, which makes them the longest group to have ever been joined in K-pop.
