JYP Entertainment’s TWICE Has Done Something No Other Girl Group Has Done Before!
As of writing this article, only 12 days since its release, TWICE's "Taste of Love" keeps garnering the K-pop girl group more acclaim but recently, the album was able to dub TWICE as the only girl group to ever reach a certain milestone.
JYP Entertainment's TWICE went on to show their dominance on Billboard as they made a recent breakthrough which no other female group has done before.
Billboard recently released their list for the "Top Album Sales chart" for the week ending on the 26th of June and TWICE's most recent mini-album "Taste of Love" made its debut on the #1 spot. But this was not the only Billboards chart that "Taste of Love" entered at #1.
Aside from Billboard's "Top Album Sales chart," TWICE's "Taste of Love" also debuted on the #1 spot on "Top Current Album Sales chart," and "World Albums chart."
With this breakthrough, TWICE is now dubbed the first and only global girl group ever to be #1 on Billboard's "Top Album Sales chart" with an Extended Play.
In addition, there are only five other girl groups to have topped Billboard's chart. The groups being BLACKPINK, Destiny's Child, TLC, Spice Girls, and Danity Kane.
Moreover, JYP Entertainment's TWICE is the first-ever female K-pop artist to debut in the top 10 of Billboard's "Billboard 200" with a mini-album as it ranked 6th on the chart this week.
To add to that, TWICE once again became a part of Billboard's "Artist 100," as they placed 9th, TWICE's highest position on the chart. TWICE seems to be unstoppable with their most recent comeback!
The members of TWICE will keep garnering more wins and top more charts as "Taste of Love" and its title track entitled "Alcohol-Free" are certified bangers.
