Red Velvet’s Joy To Star In Anticipated K-Drama, ‘Only One Person’, Under JTBC
SM Entertainment's premiere K-pop girl group, Red Velvet, has not had a comeback since 2019 after Red Velvet member, Wendy, suffered an injury via an accident.
To give her time to recover, Red Velvet's Wendy took a hiatus, prompting the girl group to be inactive as a whole. Individually, the members of Red Velvet have been active, and recently, Wendy has returned.
Multiple rumors of the SM Entertainment girl group having a comeback have been rampant, and Reveluvs believe that it is only a matter of time for Red Velvet to announce a comeback.
Before a comeback surface, though, Red Velvet's Joy has been recently offered to star in her own K-drama under JTBC.
Joy of Red Velvet is reportedly offered the female lead in an upcoming JTBC K-drama entitled "Only One Person."
Coming from an exclusive report from the media outlet SPOTV, Red Velvet's Joy will be part of the cast of "Only One Person" being the female lead. The K-drama "Only One Person" will tell the tale of a woman who is a famous influencer, and then she gets a terminal ailment.
Red Velvet's Joy will be cast as Seong Mi Do, the popular influencer who finds out that she has a terminal ailment.
As time passes and Seong Mi Do is dying, she promises to kill a person, but while she is doing it, she meets someone who becomes very important to her. Seong Mi Do will then balance her emotions while struggling to keep her fame up.
Red Velvet's Joy has not yet accepted the role. But if she does, this will be her first acting role since 2018 in her K-drama "Tempted."
JTBC's K-drama, "Only One Person," will have the same director as "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo": Oh Hyun Jong.
The K-drama is assumed to start filming this year in August and will air late in 2021.
