The popularity of a K-pop group can sometimes be measured by the number of views they get on their songs' music videos. At times it takes years to foster a huge amount of hits. Other times it only takes days.
For a popular K-pop group, 10 million views are somewhat overwhelming and 100 million is attainable, but to reach 1 billion is actually a massive indication of the fame a particular K-pop group or artist has. Only released less than one year ago, on the 21st of August, 2020, the music video for HYBE BTS' "Dynamite" is the 8th K-pop MV to have reached 1 billion views. As of writing this article, the song has 1,007,492,025 views.
