Big Hit Entertainment's K-pop boy group, BTS, debuted in 2013. Approximately, the boy group will be celebrating their eight years of being active this year. This means that for eight years, the titular K-pop boy group has been only growing since 2013 and have already won a plethora of awards and broken numerous records, and seem to be on track to win and break even more.

The seven-member K-pop boy group consisting of Jungkook, Kim Taehyung, Jimin, Suga, Jin, RM, and J-Hope is arguably the most popular K-pop boy group in the world. They might even be the most popular K-pop group or maybe perhaps the most famous music group in the world. Their reach knows no bounds, and this is proven with their more recent win with their song "Dynamite."

But beyond that, BTS proves why they are internationally acclaimed.

BTS's "Map of the Soul: 7", which was released last year on February 21, 2020, has finally gone gold in the United Kingdom.

Just yesterday, on February 26, the British Phonographic Industry or BPI, gave a confirmation that BTS's seventh studio album entitled "Map of the Soul: 7" has been dubbed officially gold by being given a BRIT certification, a UK record label which certifies albums and singles. This can only be given if an album reaches 100,00 sales in BPI records.

This means that this is BTS's third album to go gold in the UK. The other two of which are "Love Yourself: Answer" and "Map of the Soul: Persona."

Moreover, in total, BTS has eight silver-certified albums, three silver-certified singles, and three gold-certified albums in the UK. In addition, "Dynamite" is the first-ever single to become gold-certified in the UK from a South Korean music group.

Hats off to Big Hit Entertainment, BTS and their A.R.M.Y.!
