Girls' Generation

Girl's Generation or SNSDSM Entertainment's iconic and legendary eight-member girl group, debuted 14 years ago in 2007. The girl group debuted with their hit song "Into The New World" and soon promoted the single on the music show "The Music Trend."

Not long after that, the single hit number one on Mnet's M, and the rest is history.

Initially, Girls' Generation started out with nine members, but the former main vocalist, Jessica, left the group around 2014, leaving the group officially with only eight members, with the members being Taeyeon, Yuri, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Yoona, Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun.

The reign of Girls' Generation lasted until 2017 when three of the eight remaining members left SM Entertainment. Although leaving the company, it was not confirmed that they left SNSD.

After that, each member has been enjoying solo careers and other ventures. But recent reports say that SNSD might be gearing up for a comeback.

Yesterday on February 19, representatives in the K-pop industry shared reports that SM Entertainment's Girls' Generation might have been finalizing plans for a comeback that might arrive later this year, 2021.

A source mentioned that although the members are now in different agencies, it is true that they are constantly discussing album plans as they are all on good terms. One other source said that in addition to this, the comeback might not have been confirmed, but the SNSD members are currently checking their individual schedules for a possible comeback. This may happen in either May or June.

In response to these allegations, SM Entertainment has released their comments on the potential comeback. A representative from SM Entertainment responded that nothing had been decided. But this alone confirms that there are, in fact, talks about a comeback, at least.

The last album that Girls' Generation released together completely was "Holiday Night" in 2017. With that, K-pop fans all over the world would be overjoyed if SNSD made a legendary comeback.
