TC Candler’s ‘The 100 Most Handsome Faces Of 2020’ Includes BTS, GOT7, NCT And More
On December 28th, TC Candler has released their annual list of "The 100 Most Handsome Faces of 2020."
What is "The 100 Most Handsome Faces" list?
"The 100 Most Handsome Faces" list has been regarded as the "most internationally recognized and prestigious" list of its kind since its publication in 1990 by TC Candler and The Independent Critics. The world-renowned list has garnered online traction, especially in recent years, and has received over 8 billion social media impressions.
The publishers behind the list reiterate that unlike most other beauty rankings, "The 100 Most Handsome and Beautiful Faces of 2020" lists are not a popularity contest nor country-specific but rather "attempts to inform and broaden public opinion, instead of reflecting it."
Who are the K-Pop Idols on the list?
Out of 125,000 celebrity choices from over 40 countries, TC Candler has narrowed down this year's "Most Handsome Faces" to 100. Among the 100 faces listed are some of our favorite K-Pop idols and artist.
At 99th place was Baekho (Kang Dong-ho) of Nu'est, which is a new entry on the list and the only Nu'est member included. Meanwhile, three NCT members made it to the list: Lucas (Wong Yuk-hei), a new entry at 91st, Mark Lee new entry at 80th, and Taeyong (Lee Tae-yong), who is in 15th place and on his fourth year on the list.
Another SM Entertainment idol made it on the list with Taemin (Lee Taemin) of SHINee and SuperM at 71st place. Taemin is in his 2nd year to be included in the list. Moreover, Taemin's fellow SuperM member, Kai (Kim Jong-in), was also listed at 32.
Meanwhile, two YG Entertainment artists were included in the list. First was Taeyang (Dong Young-bae) at 67th place and 8th year on the list. Next was IKON's Bobby (Kim Ji-won), who is a new entry at 62nd place.
Two of JYPE's GOT7 has also entered "The 100 Most Handsome Faces List of 2020." Jackson Wang, who is in his 4th year on the list, has placed 56th place, while Bambam, who is a new entry, placed 48th. Their fellow JYP artist and Stray Kids member Hyunjin (Hwang Hyun-jin) was also included in the list at 36th.
Moreover, Soobin from Tomorrow x Together placed 52nd, Kang Daniel placed 42nd, former MonstaX member Wonho placed 30th, SEVENTEEN's Mingyu placed 27th, and ASTRO's Cha Eun-woo placed 22nd.
The list won't be complete without the BTS members. Jin (Kim Seok-jin) was listed at 39th place, Jimin (Park Jimin) was listed at 17th place, while Jungkook (Jeon Jung-kook), who was crowned as "The Most Beautiful Face of 2019) was at 4th place. In addition, this year's Second Most Handsome Face of 2020 was V (Kim Taehyung). V is also the highest-ranking K-Pop idol on the list for 2020.
