aespa dropped major news during their Tokyo concerts this weekend, announcing their first-ever dome tour across Japan next spring.

Surprise Announcement at Sold-Out Shows

The SM Entertainment girl group revealed the dome dates on November 8-9 while performing at Tokyo's National Yoyogi Stadium. Around 24,000 fans across two nights heard the announcement first: aespa will hit Osaka's Kyocera Dome on April 11-12, 2026, followed by Tokyo Dome on April 25-26, 2026.

This marks their Kyocera Dome debut and third visit to Tokyo Dome, cementing their status as one of K-pop's fastest-rising acts in Japan.

Tokyo Dome Track Record

aespa first played Tokyo Dome in August 2023-just two years and nine months after debuting with "Black Mamba" in November 2020. That set a record as the fastest Tokyo Dome show by any foreign artist after debut, pulling 94,000 fans over August 5-6.

They returned in August 2024, becoming the first female international artist to play Tokyo Dome two years straight. That run drew over 40,000 fans and proved their staying power in Japan's competitive market.

First Fourth-Gen Group at Kyocera Dome

The Kyocera Dome shows put aespa in elite company. They'll be the first fourth-generation K-pop girl group to perform there and only the third K-pop girl group overall, after BLACKPINK and TWICE. The Osaka venue, one of Japan's "Big Five" domes, typically hosts only top-tier artists.

Tour Continues Across Asia

Beyond Japan's dome circuit, aespa's "SYNK: aeXIS LINE" tour hits several Asian cities:

  • Bangkok (Impact Arena) - November 15-16, 2025
  • Hong Kong (AsiaWorld-Arena) - February 7-8, 2026
  • Macau (Galaxy Arena) - March 7-8, 2026
  • Jakarta (ICE BSD) - April 4, 2026

Their Japanese leg includes 10 arena shows in major cities, all exceeding 10,000 capacity and selling out quickly.

Amazon Music Live Appearance

aespa will close Amazon Music Live's fourth season on November 13, 2025, performing after Thursday Night Football. The show streams live on Prime Video and Amazon Music platforms.

Amazon named them the most-streamed artist on the "K-Pop Now" playlist, driven by tracks like "Supernova," "Whiplash," "Next Level," and "Drama." Earlier this year, they won Group of the Year at Billboard Women in Music-the second straight year a K-pop group took that honor.

Rapid Growth in Japan

The dome tour announcement caps a remarkable run in Japan for the four-member group (Karina, Winter, Giselle, Ningning). Their quick progression from arenas to multiple domes reflects both strong ticket sales and growing local fanbase.

Fan club presales for the dome shows started November 8 through their official Japanese fan club "MY-J," with general sales to follow. The dome-sized productions promise larger-scale staging than their current arena tour.

aespa's April 2026 dome dates represent their biggest Japanese venture yet, solidifying their position as leaders among K-pop's fourth generation.
