KQ Entertainment's xikers dropped their sixth mini-album on October 31, wrapping up the House of Tricky series that launched their career. The 10-member boy group returned seven months after April's SPUR release, bringing member-written lyrics and aggressive choreography that showcases their growth since debuting in March 2023.

Breaking Free: From 'Tricky House' to the World

HOUSE OF TRICKY: WRECKING THE HOUSE marks the finale of xikers' debut concept-10 performers symbolically destroying the house that contained them and stepping into wider territory. The album sold over 320,000 copies in its first week, nearly doubling previous release numbers.

Title track "SUPERPOWER" carries lyrics co-written by members Minjae, Sumin, and Yechan, marking deeper creative involvement than past releases. "The beat hit me immediately," Yechan said. "I knew this sound could show everything I had."

The song aims to deliver energy-drink intensity through performance alone. A dance break featuring hats became the signature moment. "That's when we feel most like xikers," Hunter explained.

Creative Philosophy Shift

The group openly discussed changing their approach from technical showcase to authentic expression. "Before, we wanted to prove 'we can do this too,'" Yechan noted. "This time we thought 'let's show what we actually want to do.'"

Minjae described their recording process: "We worked together in one room, throwing ideas around until it felt like our color." The collaborative method echoed song camp intensity.

Seeun emphasized the finale's importance: "This needed impact. We tried different genres and made something you can enjoy both listening and watching."

Following ATEEZ's Billboard Path

xikers debuted as KQ Entertainment's second boy group, five years after ATEEZ launched in October 2018. Their 10-member configuration makes them the company's largest act.

The Billboard 200 recognized xikers quickly-their debut album hit No. 75 just 12 days after release, the second-highest debut album ranking for any K-pop boy group. Third album Trial And Error improved to No. 73 in March 2024.

"More than the number, knowing our music reached international fans was moving," Minjae said. Hunter saw it as a signal: "We could go further."

Yechan set clear goals: "This time we really want No. 1. That's genuinely our target now."

Senior Group Mentorship

ATEEZ achieved Billboard 200 No. 1 twice-THE WORLD EP.FIN: WILL in December 2023 and GOLDEN HOUR: Part.2 in November 2024-joining BTS and Stray Kids as the only K-pop acts with multiple chart-toppers.

The senior group's advice resonates. Seeun recalled: "ATEEZ sunbaenim told us 'you need to experience stages like this to understand true coolness.' Those words stuck."

Yechan treasures San's encouragement about his dancing, plus career advice: "'Don't be impatient, just keep going steadily.' That stayed with me even before this comeback."

When Hongjoong told Minjae their performance energized him, it confirmed their trajectory: "We're really growing."

Ten Members, One Energy

The group identifies collective power as their defining characteristic. "What matters on big stages is concentration and energy delivery," Minjae stated. "We want audiences unable to look away for even a moment."

Seeun credited fans directly: "Our energy source is road
