Korean Actors Who Are Dearly Missed In K-Dramas
Many popular Korean actors are currently in hiatus and are missed dearly by their fans. Most of them are on a break from the spotlight due to military service while others are for other personal reasons. Here are some of the Korean actors that fans hope to see again on TV or on the big screen not only because of their impressive visuals but also their exceptional talent in acting.
Lee Min Ho
Lee is expected to make a comeback as soon as he gets discharged from the military on April 25. The Heirs actor started his enlistment in May 2017.
Lee is one of the most established Hallyu stars in Asia. He was last seen acting in SBS hit drama Legends of The Blue Sea. Once he returned for military service, Lee Min Ho is expected to be flooded with TV and movie offers.
Ji Chang Wook
The Healer actor began his enlistment in August 2017 and due for discharge on April 27. Ji Chang Wook appeared in several hit dramas such as Smile Again, Warrior Baek Dong-soo, Empress Ki, The K2, and Suspicious Partner.
Kim Soo Hyun
Kim will complete his military service on July 1, 2019. The award-winning actor is expected to accept new offers once he was discharged from service. Among the notable K-dramas of Kim are Dream High, Moon Embracing the Sun, My Love From the Star, and The Producers.
Kang Ha Neul
Lee Min Ho is not the only The Heirs actor that is expected to complete military service this year, Kang Ha Neul too. The actor got enlisted on September 11, 2017, and he will be discharged on May 19.
Aside from The Heirs, he also appeared in TV series Misaeng: Incomplete Life and Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo and co-lead with Park Seo Joon in 2017 movie Midnight Runners.
Kim Woo Bin
Woo Bin is one of few K-drama actors that are out of the spotlight not because of mandatory military service but due to health reason. The Uncontrollably Fond actor has been in an indefinite hiatus ever since he was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in May 2017.
He has been missed by many K-drama fans since then. It was previously rumored that he is ready to make a comeback but it was immediately denied by his agency.
Kim Woo Bin rose to fame for his role in teen dramas School 2013 and The Heirs, both released in 2013. He was last seen on screen in the crime action film Master alongside Lee Byung Hun and Kang Dong Won.
