'NCIS: New Orleans' Season 5 Episode 13 Spoilers: NOLA Team To Investigate Stolen Deadly Virus
After bonding with some Navy wives and playing undercover in the previous episode, Agent Tammy Gregorio and the rest of the NCIS New Orleans team will be called in to locate a stolen rare virus in the upcoming NCIS: New Orleans Season 5 Episode 13. To make it worst, the missing virus is deadly and the team needs to find it fast before it could be used by the populace.
The NCIS NOLA team will investigate the disappearance of a Navy entomologist after a deadly shooting at a research lab. The agents will soon find out that the shooting has something to do with a stolen deadly virus.
American actor/director LeVar Burton will play an important role in the upcoming episode. He will play the role of Nero, a Naval Intelligence officer, that will help the team in the investigation.
Burton is not new in working with the cast and crew of NCIS NOLA. He previously directed three episodes of the CBS TV series including the crossover episode with Mark Harmon's NCIS in 2017.
Burton is best known for his roles as the host of the long-running PBS children series Reading Rainbow, as Lt. Commander Geordi La Forge in Star Trek: The Next Generation, and the young Kunta Kinte in the award-winning ABC miniseries Roots. Aside from NCIS: New Orleans, he also directed a number of episodes of Star Trek, JAG, Charmed, and more.
Dr. Loreta Wade (CCH Pounder) is also most likely to be more involved in the upcoming NOLA case. The team may need her medical expertise not only on the possible dead bodies from the shooting at the lab but also on the possible effects of the virus if it will be used as a weaponized agent.
Meanwhile, Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula) might still look for an update about the manhunt on Walker, an operative of Apollyon who escaped from prison during the commotion in the facility. Agent Pride is most likely still interested to get Walker back in jail since the latter claimed he also has a dossier on Apollyon. Before the riot in prison, Walker also told Pride that he knew more about Apollyon than he first told the NCIS agent and he wants a better deal if he was going to talk.
In Episode 11, Pride and his team hunt down Apollyon after the group of highly-skilled former intelligence agents kidnapped Dwayne's father. Cassius later died while protecting Dwayne from Amelia.
In the previous episode, it was revealed that Phillip Sinclair, the NSA analyst who is in charge of investigating Apollyon, is actually the leader of the group. Pride might still revisit the case as it seems like Apollyon's operation doesn't end even with the death of Sinclair. NCIS: New Orleans Season 5 Episode 13 will air on February 5 at 10 p.m. ET on CBS.
