Wanna One Updates: Kang Daniel Teases Solo Debut In April; Park Ji Hoon To Hold First Solo Fan Meeting
Wanna One members are definitely not resting after disbanding. They will be holding different promotional activities right after their final concert series together this week.
Kang Daniel has hinted that he will be making his solo debut in April. During a live broadcast on Instagram, Daniel talked about his future plans. The singer said he is currently busy preparing for the Wanna One last concert.
He also mentioned the official launch of his fan cafe on Monday. Then, Daniel hinted that he will reveal something new in April.
"I cannot go into detail about my upcoming plans, but see you in April," he said.
According to Soompi, Daniel's agency MMO Entertainment has confirmed that the K-pop idol is planning to make a solo debut in April. Apparently, Daniel will debut as a solo artist with a release of a new song.
Park Ji Hoon, on the other hand, will be holding his first solo fan meeting in Asia starting next month. Ji Hoon will kick off his fan meeting, titled 2019 Asia Fan Meeting in Seoul: First Edition, on February 9 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. KST at the Grand Peace Palace. Tickets for the singer's first solo fan meeting will be available starting on January 28 for fan club members and to the general public on January 31.
Meanwhile, other than Daniel, Wanna One members Yoon Ji Sung and Bae Jin Young also launched their respective official fan cafes on Monday. Ji Young also previously launched his solo V Live channel. Park Ji Hoon and Kim Jae Hwan have earlier opened their own fan cafes as well.
Wanna One disbanded on December 31 after Swing Entertainment did not renew the contract of the members. Starting on January 1, 2019, all members return to their original agencies.
Swing Entertainment, however, will still manage the group on their final concert this month. The Wanna One's last concert series, titled "Therefore," will be held on January 24 to 27 at Gocheok Sky Dome.
The eleven members of Wanna One attended the recent 2019 Seoul Music Awards. It was their last awards show together. The K-pop group won two awards that night: the Bonsang award and the Fandom School award. The band also performed their hit song "I Promise You" and "Wanna" at the event.
