BLACKPINK's Jennie Reacts To 'Human Gucci' Nickname, Fans Want 'Female G-Dragon' To Date BTS's V
Celebrity nicknames are nothing new. Fans have given their idols adorable pet names for several years. Some of these names are usually a play on the celebrity's real name or were coined by their own friends. However, Jennie of BLACKPINK has a nickname that suggests a very particular notoriety. The girl group's lead rapper has been called the Human Gucci because of her expensive wardrobe that consists largely of the luxury brand.
But how does Jennie truly feel about being called Human Gucci? The BLACKPINK idol had admitted that she thinks the moniker is rather embarrassing. In addition to that, she revealed that she actually has a laidback approach when it comes to shopping.
Jennie and her fellow BLACKPINK members recently made an appearance in MBC FM4U's Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon to promote their new album Square Up. Jennie addressed her infamous nickname and confessed that she is embarrassed to say the nickname to herself. Nevertheless, the singer explained why she was being called Human Gucci.
"I think people gave me the nickname because they kindly perceived the outfits I wore to award shows and on stage," Jennie said. The BLACKPINK member then shared the truth about her shopping habits.
"I don't have much time so I shop online," Jennie admitted. However, that doesn't mean that the BLACKPINK rapper doesn't enjoy some retail therapy in the flesh. "I personally like physically going shopping though," she revealed.
One fan pointed out that Jennie's affinity is very similar to that of BTS member V then wondered if the two would ever date so there would be a "Gucci Couple." Others were quick to shut down the possibility, but some agreed that Human Gucci and Kim Tae Hyung would look good together.
Gucci Couple might not be happening anytime soon, but Jennie continues to get new nicknames every day. The BLACKPINK member was recently dubbed the Female G-Dragon for her impeccable fashion sense. The "DDU-DU DDU-DU" singer was understandably grateful for the compliment since the BIGBANG member is a famous fashion icon.
