'Doctors 2' Update: Park Shin Hye Ready For Kim Rae Won Reunion, Sequel To Be Filmed Once 'Memories Of The Alhambra' Finishes Production?
There is little doubt that Doctors was one of the most successful dramas in Korean television. After all, the series featured the pairing of Park Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won, who shared undeniable chemistry on screen. So, is there is any chance that Yoo Hye Jung will be reunited with Hong Ji Hong anytime in the future? There is a possibility that Doctors 2 is being planned and will begin production once Shin Hye has completed work on her new project, Memories of the Alhambra.
Fans were recently delighted when Park Shin Hye announced her new show which is being filmed in parts of Spain. Memories of the Alhambra will feature the star of The Heirs as a hostel owner who meets Hyun Bin's character and goes on an unexpected adventure with him. Although the idea of seeing Shin Hye in a new role was something that her supporters have been looking forward to, some were still wondering if Choi Tae Joon's girlfriend will take the time to actually reunite with her Doctors co-star Kim Rae Won. Luckily, it looks like people will not have to wait very long for Doctors 2.
Park Shin Hye previously confirmed that she is heading to Spain to film the international scenes for Memories of the Alhambra. The actress, along with Hyun Bin, traveled around the country for work and to see the gorgeous sites. Interestingly, Ahora Granada has confirmed that the cast and crew of the new series will be shooting in the Andalusian city from May 28 to June 1. This could mean that Shin Hye will be back in Korea by next month and will finally have time to discuss the possibility of Doctors 2.
So what are the chances that Park Shin Hye and Kim Rae Won will immediately begin working on the sequel? Fans have also been waiting for Shin Hye to reunite with Lee Min Ho on a possible The Heirs 2. However, the Legends of the Blue Sea actor is still busy completing his military duty and will not be able to film the sequel until late 2019. This should give Shin Hye enough time to shoot Doctors 2 in the meantime.
It is important to point out that Doctors 2 has not yet been confirmed, so it is best to take the information with a grain of salt. In the meantime, Park Shin Hye's Memories of the Alhambra is expected to premiere in November.
