‘Supergirl’ Season 3 Episode 20 Spoilers: Some Of Kara’s Family Might Still Be Alive, Will The Girl Of Steel & Mon-El Finally Open Up To Each Other? [WATCH]

WARNING: Supergirl Season 3 Episode 20: "Dark Side Of The Moon” spoilers and predictions ahead!

The promo of Supergirl Season 3 Episode 20, titled "Dark Side Of The Moon,” reveals that a familiar face from Kara’s past will make a shocking return. Melissa Benoist’s character is going to have a chance to revisit her past like never before with Mon-El and makes a startling discovery about Krypton.

The Supergirl Season 3 Episode 20 synopsis revealed little about what the promo trailer showed. The synopsis reads: “SUPERGIRL LEARNS A STUNNING SECRET ABOUT KRYPTON - Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) is stunned to discover that a part of Krypton survived. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) is attacked while out with Ruby (guest star Emma Tremblay), and Lena (Katie McGrath) considers how far she will go to keep Reign contained.”

The promo showed Kara Zor-El a.k.a Supergirl (Melissa Benoist) reuniting with her long-dead mother Alura (Erica Durance) when she and Mon-El (Chris Wood) took a trip into outer space. The pair then discovered that a part of Krypton has seemingly survived, which could mean that some of Kara’s family might still be alive.

Meanwhile, with all the hustle and bustle in Kara’s life, she never really had a serious and deep moment to think about and digest Mon-El’s marriage to Imra. Unlike viewers, Kara doesn’t know the truth behind Mon-El and Saturn Girl’s union.

Mon-El already revealed to Martian Manhunter that his marriage with Imra was an arranged move to form an alliance. Although it started out as more of a partnership, it eventually led to something romantic. However, many believe, including Imra, that Mon-El still loves Supergirl. So will Kara and Mon-El get some quality time to open up to each other during their trip in the “Dark Side Of The Moon”?

The Supergirl Season 3 Episode 20 promo certainly left more questions than answers. Is Alura really alive? Will Kara and Mon-El finally address the issues surrounding them? For now, fans will just have to wait until the superhero action-adventure television series returns to The CW next Monday, May 28, at 8:00 p.m. ET.
