Game Trade Fair 'gamescom' Begins

"StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void" has already sold a million copies worldwide despite launching close with other popular games, according to PC Gamer.

A few days ago, Blizzard finally launched the game in retail and digital stores. Since then, gamers who purchased the game only have praises for both the story and the gameplay. The game developer also has announced a future DLC that will tell the story of Nova the Ghost. The mini expansion will be called "StarCraft 2: Nova Corps" and the content will be in batches.

Blizzard celebrated the milestone of 1 million copies sold worldwide with a tweet yesterday and thanked the "StarCraft" community for making the launch a success.

"Thanks for making the launch of #LotV a success! We'll see you in the Koprulu Sector, Commanders," said Blizzard in a tweet.

The last expansion for "StarCraft 2" tells the final story of the game franchise and it has been 15 years in the making, according to Cinema Blend. This will be the final battle between the Protoss, the Terran and the Zerg.

Gamers who have finished the campaign of the latest expansion notes that how bittersweet the experience is after finally finishing the main story of the "StarCraft 2" story.

While "StarCraft 2: Legacy of the Void" finally ends the main story, Blizzard has said that "StarCraft 3" could happen in the future. This might come true, but it will depend on the fan feedback.

"What the future holds really depends so much on what we hear back from players. We love RTS, we love this genre," said StarCraft II lead Tim Morten to GameSpot in an interview. "The StarCraft universe is fantastic; the Warcraft universe clearly has more stories that can be told."
