Almost all the countries in the world have more or less dangerous cities. Here we have given a list of some cities that are considered the most dangerous cities in South Korea.

Jung-gu in Busan

A new statistics released by the Ministry of Interior and Safety in December 2017 revealed Jung-gu  in Busan as the most dangerous place to live in South Korea. Jung-gu has the highest suicide rate in South Korea.

The place is also known for deaths caused by traffic accidents, natural disaster, fire, crime, and diseases. The place ranked one of the worst places to live in South Korea with a crime rate of 112 cases per 10,000 people, according to Haps Magazine Korea.

The South Korean celebrities such as Gang Dong-won, Gong Yoo, Jang Hyuk, Simon Dominic, Park Hae Jin, and Kang Ha Neul all hail from Busan.

Gwangju Metropolitan City

Geographically known as the sixth largest city in South Korea, Gwangju is a metropolitan city. Despite being under the control of central government's Home Minister, the city has a high violent crime rate of 106 cases per 10,000, which makes it the fifth highest crime city in South Korea.

Some famous celebrities from Gwangju are Kim Sang Gyun, Bae Suzy, Seungri of Bigbang, Sunghak of Bigstar, Hyerin of EXID, Yubin, Goo Hara, and Euijin of Sonamoo.

Ulsan Metropolitan City

Located in the south-east of the country, Ulsan Metropolitan City is the nation's seventh largest metropolis with a population of more than 1.1 million inhabitants. The above-mentioned top crime cities, Busan and Gwangju, are the neighboring cities facing south and north respectively. The city has a violent crime rate of 107.4 cases per 10,000 people, which makes it the seventh highest crime city in South Korea, as reported by Koreaboo.

Daegu Metropolitan City

Formally spelled Taegu, Daegu Metropolitan City has a violent crime rate of 100.7 cases per 10,000 people, which makes it the third highest crime city in South Korea.

However, Daegu has given birth to popular celebrities like Min Hyo Rin, Choo Ja Hyun, Irene of Red Velvet, Song Hye Kyo and Son Ye Jin.

Seoul Metropolitan City

Seoul's Jung district ranks second in South Korea with a crime rate of 121 cases per 10,000 people after Busan's Jung-gu. Within Seoul, the district named Jongro ranks second in crime whereas Dobong district stands lowest.
