It has been a while since Super Junior released and promoted a new single or album. So, it is indeed a treat for their loyal fans when it has been announced that the boys are preparing for a comeback. However, things aren’t going smooth when fans demanded that Sungmin is left out of the comeback.

The uproar of the fans over Sungmin’s issue has escalated when one of the dedicated fan sites of Super Junior released a petition to definitely remove member Sungmin from the group. Super Junior Gallery announced that they will boycott the group until an action has been taken. A statement from the fan site said that Sungmin has scarred the group because of his selfish actions and the Super Junior fan community believe that it will be unfair to the group if he continues promoting with them.

The statement also said that they had enough and can no longer support nor encourage Sungmin’s behavior. Super Junior Gallery emphasized though that the petition was merely a request and they will respect whatever the group decides on. However, the fan site will not be supporting Sungmin as well as Kangin anymore.

Lee Sungmin got married in December 2014 but he betrayed fans when they found out that he has been using his interaction with his fans as a way for him show his love for his wife. Fans claim that since then Sungmin continued to mistreat fans, which is a backlash to Super Junior. Kangin, on the other hand, was caught in a legal issue last year when he was investigated for a DUI accident.

In light of this matter and the anticipated comeback of Super Junior, their agency announced that a possible press conference will be held to gather representatives from various fan sites and sit down with them to talk about the direction of the comeback album. SJ Label, who is under SM Entertainment, said that they appreciate how fans have waited patiently for Super Junior’s comeback. They want fans to take a part in it by installing their opinions and ideas on the new album as well as in the group's future activities.
