After 13 consecutive weeks on the Hot 100 Billboard top spot Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" is finally out. Now, Harry Styles is the reigning king with his "Signs of the Times." The former One Direction member's first solo debut song is now at no. 1.
According to Forbes, Harry Styles' "Signs" was just released one week ago but it already managed to kick out the highly successful Ed Sheeran "Shape of You." This huge turn-around only cements the new solo singer's reputation as one of the best charting artists today.
The competition is surely not over with Harry Style "Signs of the Times" win this week. The same report quoted Official Charts Company's statement that it only took a few copies for him to win. There was only 3000 copies difference between Ed Sheeran and him.
The loyal supporter of One Direction and Harry Styles might still need to hold tighter as the race gets stricter these coming weeks again. Notably, "Signs of the Times" is only the lead single for Harry's debut album. More of his exciting tracks are still expected to come out this month in a full album.
